The venue, along with its magnificent
gardens, became a national
museum in 1883 and the first French
site to be inscribed on the UNESCO
World Heritage List in 1979.

In jumping, riders and horses are timed as
they jump over obstacles, with time penalties
imposed for each obstacle toppled. Agility,
technique and harmony between horse and
rider are essential. The event is competed in
individual and team competitions.
Equestrian sports first featured at the Olympic Games
in 1900 in Paris and were added to the Olympic
programme at Stockholm in 1912. Women were able
to take part in the dressage event as of Helsinki 1952.
In 1964, they were able to take part in all
equestrian events, making it the only entirely
mixed-gender sport at the Olympic Games.

We recommend arriving at the venue 1 hour 30 before the start of the
session, and taking the free Paris 2024 buses reserved for spectators.
Please note that the distance on foot between the Paris 2024 bus drop-o
and the stands is around 20 minutes. For more energetic visitors, the
venue can also be accessed via the Entrance 4 (North-East), around an
hour’s walk from the stations indicated on the map above. As the venue is
outdoors, we recommend dressing suitably for the weather.

parking spaces for wheelchair users are available at the
intersection of Allée de la Ceinture and Allée de Gally

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Paris 2024 buses between stations and competition
venues are accessible to spectators in wheelchairs
and their accompanying persons.
Find the recommended public transport lines and
stations for access to each competition venue for
people with reduced mobility on the Paris 2024
oicial website
People with disabilities or with specific needs will be
greeted on site by Paris 2024 volunteers. This service
notably includes priority access to the venue, mobility
assistance, induction loops and a wheelchair loan service,
as well as a dog spending area. Full details of this service
can be found at the Information Desk which can be located
using the interactive map available on the following page.

The information shown on the maps and all accessibility information are provided for general guidance purposes

SHUTTLE BUSES FOR WHEELCHAIR SPECTATORS
A dedicated transport service for spectators with a
accessible or wheelchair ticket and their accompanying
person will be provided to reach each of the competition
venues for the Paris 2024 Games from several stations in
Paris. This service is only accessible with early booking,
possible up to 48 hours before the start of your session.
Spectators with disabilities are advised to use this
service in light of the expected high number of
travellers on public transport networks.

equipment are prohibited within the competition
venue and must be le at the parking zone. Paris 2024

A selection of products for all tastes can be found at the
food and beverage concessions to provide delicious,
more local and more plant-based nutrition. This selection
is accompanied by a choice of non-alcoholic drinks.
Fountains with drinking water are available free of charge at the venue. Remember to bring a metal or plastic bottle,
